Where did the Weekend Go?

Now that was a fast and busy weekend! We managed to get Emma her halloween costume Friday, take her and the twins to a carnival Saturday evening, get Emma to a birthday party in Waterloo Sunday by 11:30am and make a haunted halloween house with Emma tonight.

I have to say, this house was easier then the last few years (it's a tradition in our house). Now they sell the gingerbread houses already put together, so you don't have to wait for the icing to dry before decorating the house. That was always a pain in the u-know-what.

Erica's been waking up at night, she's got big teeth towards the back coming in, that must be the problem. I'm fully stocked on Motrin, so hopefully we get a good nights sleep tonight. I don't always clue in at 2am. Abby is always a good sleeper, I don't think anything would wake her lol. She just loves her crib, let's hope the next baby does as well.

Oh also watched "Knocked Up" (staring Izzy from Grey's Anatomy) how appropriate eh. It was hillarious.

Sick Bay

Well, everyone seems to be getting sick in this house. Must be the change in weather and Emma bringing home germs from school and for me, just being pregnant:) Erica is getting over an ear infection, Abby is cranky and I figure it's probably teething, as she's drooling all over the place and Emma was throwing up and had diarhea all yesterday. Wow, what a fun house to be in eh! Doesn't exactly mix so well when your trying to keep nausea at bay. With the twins it was so different, if I was sick, i'd just go lie down, can't exactly do that with 2 one-year olds haha. Oh well, they say what doesn't kill you, makes stronger right, so I'll be tough as nails by the end of this pregnancy.

Yah, Only One Baby

Oh i'm so relieved to hear we're having ONE BABY this time! Not that I haven't truly enjoyed the twin experience, but with the girls being only 15 months now, man what a ride I would of been in for. As I sat through the ultrasound, I watched the technician's facial moments trying to decipher what she might be seeing haha, at one point I saw her make a different face and thought "oh no" haha.

I'm even feeling abit less nausea today, maybe part of it was stress related?? I can hope right? so far it's been an okay day in regards.

I tried to get a picture of our little munchkin, but the technician said no...ughhh.

I'm having an Ultrasound Today

I saw Dr. Owens today and she's thinking i'm probably 7 or 8 weeks pregnant with one baby:) Gosh, I really hope for my sake it's one baby as the girls are still young. I'm trying to drink all the water requirements, which is really hard when your nausaus. Oh I really hate this part of being pregnant, hopefully it's short lived.

Saturday

Well besides feeling nausaus off and on, things have been going really well. We've evened managed to get a few more nice sunny days in before gloomy winter hits!

Yesterday we had our friends Amanda and Justin over for pizza and Abby kept insisting on playing with Kaylee's soother, it was quite funny. Check them out below.

Reality has sunk in

Well i've finally come to believe i'm pregnant, that this is really real! Wow, what a crazy few days i've had. My head just been spinning and consumed with all this.

I look at the twins and think wow, you guys can't even walk yet!! It'll be boot camp here soon, gotta get the big sisters up and moving haha.

With 3 girls now, what are the chances of having a boy next? Gosh, would I even know how to play with a boy?? oh with the history of our family, it'll be another girl:) Hey as long as the baby's healthy does it really matter? no. But it's always fun to play both sides.

I'm Pregnant

Wow, what a shocker. Gerry just got his vasectomy done August 31st and i found out yesterday that I'm pregnant. I have irregular cycles alot, so i didn't really think much about it and figured i'd do a pregnancy test to get it out of my mind.

Dollarama had them on for a buck, so I thought, heck what do I have to lose?? Well, I was shocked to say the least when two lines came up right away. I told Gerry I had to go get a "real test" that the dollar store tests must be faulty. Two more tests later and blood work today that came back with an hcg level of 9000 indicate i'm definetely pregnant. Now the question is, how far along am I with such a high hcg level (maybe 2 months) or is there more then one baby?? Oh i'm thinking one would be nice this time with Abby and Erica still young.

Well, i'll keep everyone posted. Emma and Gerry are pretty excited. I'm happy and excited, but I don't think it seems quite real at this point. After years and years of trying and then having to do IVF, I just find it unreal that it happened on it's own. Talk about a miracle.

Calvary Church Play Group

Oh i'm sooo glad it's 7pm and the girls are in bed. Usually they don't go till 7:30, but tonight they were sooooo cranky it was almost unbearable. Luckily for Gerry, he's at work lol. I'm trying to figure out what to do in regards to their morning nap, today I kept them awake so they'd have a good sleep in the afternoon and then be tired for bed....well they have been whining and miserable since 5ish...oh it's been a long day here.

I took them to an Early Years Play Group at the Calvary Church in Cambridge and they had a really good time. I'd like to go back again, but after today's experience with them only sleeping 12-2:30, i'm not sure I can handle another day like this...

Anyway, enough bitching on my end. Here's some cute pics from today when they were in good spirits.

Meet The Teacher Night

Tuesday was Meet The Teacher night. Gerry was working nights, so Tonya and I took the girls to introduce us to their teachers and check out their "portables" ughh, guess their calling them "Cottages" now, think that's suppose to make them sound better....

There's a new school being built in our area as there are too many kids, so for this year Emma and Megan have been shipped out to one of eight portables. Luckly for Megan her's has air conditioning (only 2 do). Gotta say they look pretty trashy from the outside, but they look like regular classes on the inside and Emma doesn't seem to mind when it's not hot out.

Hump Day

Well today was pretty uneventful....I had hoped to get to the gym, but the daycare was full until 11am (the girls would be tired by then) and then when Gerry woke up we desperately needed to get groceries or we'd be eating condiments the rest of the week lol.

I'm on a roll in regards to scrapbooking. Emma told me she doesn't like the colours in the layout I did with Erica "Amazing You". I don't know, I thought it was neat because it was different. What do you think? Thought i'd even type in that shade:)

Out With Only One Baby....Way To Weird

Today I went to a playdate with just Erica, it was so weird going out with just one baby....I haven't done it yet. Abby really needed a nap and Erica was good to go, so why not really? I even wondered if Erica would act differently without Abby being with there, but she didn't, probably because I was still there.

I have to say, to all you one baby momma's, oh you've got it easy girls.

I even managed to get some scrapbooking in, looks like today I was into bubbles lol.

I feel bad that i'm always doing layouts with Abby and Erica, so I did one of Emma tonight from when we were at the EX the other weekend. It's just, I take so many shots of the babies as their home all day and they change so fast:) Hey I've got lots of albums of Emma. Hmm am I sounding abit defensive lol

Oh I love Digital Scrapbooking. I was terrible at paper scrapbooking, I tried really hard to get into it, but I feel so much better being able to move things around on the computer. Perhaps sometimes I spend too much time changing things...but hey that's what hobbies are for right.

Weekend Fun

Well a busy social weekend it was. We went to Amanda and Justin's for Pizza Saturday and our friends Jen and James today. It was good to get out of the house, as I've been abit of a home body lately. The girls seem to like exploring other peoples houses as well:)

Flyer Mania

Wow, and I thought I liked flyers! The girls went nuts for the flyers. Not so sure i'll be able to read them now that there so messed, but hey it was alot of fun watching them throwing them and crinkling them.

Double Eviction Night on BB

Wow, I can't believe how much happened on Big Brother tonight! Jessica and Eric all in the same night, well 20 minutes apart?? wow that was quick. I was really hoping Eric would win the POV and take himself off and then Dick, well he'd put Zack up obviously. I just really don't want Dick to win or Danielle for that matter.

1st Day of School

Can't believe Emma almost missed the bus on the 1st day of school. Boy was I out of my routine...These mornings are alot less hectic in retrospect, as I don't have any kiddies in the morning, except my own. Here's some pics from the Emma, Megan and Rhys.

Playdates Are Great

I went to Amanda's Friday afternoon for a playdate, it had been far too long since I saw Kaylee and Chloe (Abby & Erica's 1st twin friends born 3 days apart). They've grown up together and really enjoy each other. We were both actually due the same day, can you believe that?

Check Out Our New Wheels!!

Found these awesome bikes for the girls, they even have seatbelts!! I've seen others with the long handle to push them and steer, but not with seat belts as well. Emma and I took them for a spin and they didn't want to get off them to go out aftewards.
