Erica's 1st Bath

I've been on a roll the last few days with my digital scrapbooking, and this one I really wanted to share with everyone. It's the first time Erica had a bath at the hospital:) Gerry and Emma did it for the first while, as I was just too afraid to hold her all wet and slippery. I told Gerry once she got to 4lbs I'd give her a bath and I nervously did.

Anyway, here's my page.

Kids and Boxes

I forgot how much fun, boxes could be. As a child, I can remember building so many things out of various boxes, like houses, cars, tv's ect. You name it and we could turn a box into it:) The twins aren't of age to use crayons/markers/or scissors yet, but their enjoying being pushed in them and pushing the boxes as well.

I remember when we bought our 65" tv, Emma LOVED that box. It was HUGE! It turned into the biggest, coolest playhouse you could imagine and she and my nieces spent hours in it. Gerry cut out a door and windows and the kids decorated the rest. What will kids do with Plasma tv boxes now??? now that's going to take some imagination....

Here's a few pics of Abby and Erica with a diaper box.

Frankenstein

Last night, Tonya and I went to see my Uncle Brad Rooke act in a play called Frankenstein. It was awesome! I've never been to a play before and after last night, I can see why people enjoy them so much, there's so much put into them, there so hands on.

It was so neat the way everyone worked together to quickly set up the props inbetween scenes. Brad was Frankenstein himself, he played his character flawlessly and his make-up was done really well. It was nice to see him again, it's been too many years. I had hoped Ronnie would be there, his brother, but unfortunately he wasn't at last nights show.

Here's a cute pic of the girls watching tv on their little couch.

Baby Names

Today is going really well, the girls are down for their nap and i've even managed to squeeze in some digital scrapbooking:) Wish I had more time for this:) Oh well, at least I get more done this way then paper scrapbooking.

So we're thinking of names for the new baby, so far it stands at Ava for a girl and Conner for a boy. But I'm thinking maybe Andrew Conrad Kenneth Godin now, Conrad after Gerry's deceased dad and Kenneth after my dad. I know, first we have to produce a boy right lol. I'm still debating girl middle names...maybe Ava Ashely Godin? Ava Rose Godin? Ava Nicole Godin? or Ava Riana Godin? What do you guys think? any name stand out in particular?

Here's my digital scrapbooking for today so far...

Emma's Halloween Costume

Finally I got Emma to put on her Halloween costume so I could blog and post her pics:) We didn't put the spiders or make-up on yet though, so you'll have to wait until Halloween to see the total picture. It's funny Emma's always been something cute, never scary, but this year she said she wanted to be scary, so scary it is. Emma and Gerry love halloween, I like it too, but they just go nuts over it. Luckily Gerry has toned down his decorating, as the kids stopped coming to our house when he went overboard lol.

Yah it's my Birthday! I'm 33

Whoo hoo, it's my birthday today, double 3's. I'm happy to say i'm feeling good and starting to enjoy being pregnant now:) Gerry and I agreed our trip to the Bahamas was our birthday gift to each other, that's a pretty good gift if you ask me and really I don't need anything anyway. My mom and dad and sister's family came over yesterday and we had pizza and birthday cake, it was really nice to have everyone together again. Gerry bought me a beautiful bouquet of flowers:) check them out.

Family Life

Gerry had a really good time in New Brunswick! He got to see lots of family that he hasn't seen in a few years. I feel bad that he doesn't seem his family all the time like me, but I guess that's just life right. Think i've just been spoiled having my family so close to me.

I've decided to go back to work after our trip to Bahamas, luckily family will be watching the girls here, so the girls won't go through too much adjustment. I'm going to work Monday to Thursday 7:30-2:30 so that I can earn 600 hours to qualify for unemployment again. Really I'd be crazy not too.

Well, that's pretty much it for today. Not too much happening. I am feeling really good the last week though and loving not being nauseous.

My Life As A Single Parent

Well, i've done this single parent thing now for 3 days and I have to say I did expect it to be harder....not saying i'd like to make this a habit or anything though lol. Gerry should be back Tuesday from visiting his family in New Brunswick. I thought about going for a second, if that and then quickly realized it would be a trip from hell with two 1 year-old babies strapped in their car seats and flying was way too pricey and still 3 hours from his home town.
Best option=to stay home with the girls.

The twins, Emma and I went shopping Saturday afternoon and then the girls were babysat, while Emma and I went out for dinner at Moose Winooski's and then went bowling (glow-in-the-dark style). It was alot of fun and good to get out just the two of us again. I try to make time for just the two of us together. I think it's important and has really helped Emma adjust so well with Abby and Erica. As I sat with Emma at Moose Winooski's, I noticed how much she has grown up, we had a regular conversation...I didn't have to remind her of any table manners or anything, gosh she's such a good kid. It was a really good night. I hope she really remembers these times we spend together, just the two of us.

Well, enough babble on my part tonight. I'm going to watch some tv with Emma and then probably join her for bed.

No pictures today as Gerry has the camera.....talk about withdrawal

Bahamas Here We Come!!!

Oh I'm so excited!! Gerry and I have been talking about going away, just the two of us before the baby comes. With Toyota ramping up for their Woodstock plant, there's a freeze on holidays after Christmas, so we've decided to go November 11th-15th!! We've never been anywhere together besides New Brunswick and Ottawa, so this is huge for us:) I thought of going for a week, but I just don't think I can handle leaving Emma and the babies for that long. Baby steps right.

Thankfully, I have my amazing parents and my sister to watch the girls so we can do this:)

God I love my family.

I always like to put pictures on my posts, so here's some recent ones of Emma at the Rockton Fair.

Abby & Her Pink Blankie

Turns out Abby is really attached to her pink blankie, I knew Erica was, but didn't realize Abby cared until it ended up in the laundry last night and my nightmare started.

I should start by saying Abby loves her crib and I never have trouble putting her to bed. Well, it took me 3 attempts last night, which took till 9:45pm and then she cried for a few minutes and finally fell asleep. The sounds that came out of her room earlier sounded like I was beating her....so I had to bring her downstairs.

Now Abby usually wakes up around 8am, but today she started freaking out, which she never does, at 5am. Must be when she realized her pink blankie was missing in action. Needless to say, I ended up getting up at the crack of dawn and rushing that pink blankie into the washer, so I could get her down for her morning nap, which I was desperate for myself.

Well, I pulled the blankie out of the dryer and picked Abby up telling her it was night night time and she snuggled right up into the blankie giggling away.....PHEW life was back to normal. She went for her two naps just like she usually does without a fuss and is in bed now as I write this. Thinking maybe I should get another one of those blankies as a spare hmmm....it was a gift from my co-worker Monique, but I bought one for someone else at Bonnie Togs.

Below is a picture of Erica and the exact Pink Blankie (I don't have many of them sleeping, as I dare not wake them). Who would of thought this blanket could turn my life upside down??

Safety First Right???

Now this gives Safety First a whole new meaning! We took the girls for a bike ride and Erica was really curious about all of Emma's safety gear, so we decided to put it on her. Too cute eh.

These bikes are the best, not to mention there pretty cute too:) It's nice to be able to push one baby at a time and the girls love riding on them. I got them from Zellers about a month ago. It's hard to find them with seat belts.

Our Trip To The Pumpkin Patch

Yesterday we decided to go to the Pumpkin Patch, the whole gang including Alyssa and Megan. We like to take them outings with us. We all had a great time.

The twins laughed bouncing up and down in the wagon with all the bumps, while the older ones enjoyed trying to find their way through the maze and checking everything out along the way:) Then of course, we all picked pumpkins, squash and other neat looking vegetables. I posted way too many pics this time, but hey I had a hard time choosing which ones.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone reading this.

Mmmm Spaghetti

Well spaghetti is a hit in this house! It's messy, but it goes down really well:) Had to post these pics as they were too funny.

I can't believe the weather lately, it's been so nice out. Unfortunately the warmer weather seems to make me feel more nauseous though....so I've had to hide out in the house with the air conditioning going.

Erica Trying to Walk

Last night was a really exciting night in our house. My mom and dad came over for their usual Wednesday night visit and Erica walked on her own. She did such a good job! and kept doing it over and over again. Abby walked quite abit more too, she's slower as in speed, concentrating on each step. Check the video out.
