Digital Scrapbooking

Here are some pages, I did during nap time.

Niagara Falls

I love getting out in the summer, wish it was like this all year round. We went to Niagara Falls yesterday, it was our first official trip out with the whole Godin clan...gosh sounds like we had a bus full lol, well sometimes it feels that way.

Niagara Falls was great! We met up with a buddy Gerry use to go to High School with and hung out with them and their friends all day. I was really surprised how smoothly things went. Abby and Erica stayed in their stroller alot, perhaps there was so much to look at that they were content. Connor obviously sat in his stroller and drank his bottles and Emma walked around with us and helped out with the babies.

Here are some pics from yesterday The Worlds Tallest Man

Wow, there's alot of us

The twins and their french fries

Centreville Island

We decided to go Centreville Island with Emma, Lindsay and Connor. We got my mom to babysit the twins, as we feel Emma needs her time with us as well, and with 3 babies, she doesn't get our attention as much. I had never been on a ferry, so that part alone was really neat for me:) and the kids really enjoyed it as well.

The kids went on some rides, Lindsay more then Emma and went through a really neat maze. Even Gerry and I had trouble navigating our way through it. The weather was great as well.

More Godin Life

So often, I have pics of the twins and Connor, and not as many of Emma. I'd hate to think anyone thought I favoured them over Emma, it's just Emma doesn't change as quickly as they do, so i'm constantly updating them. I just wanted to make sure anyone reading my blog knew that.

Emma has been having a really good summer. The pool in the backyard is awesome for her, she LOVES swimming with her cousins and friends and even Erica on occasion, when Erica is in the mood:) Here are some pics of everyone in the pool.

And here are the twins in their pool:)

Connor's First Swim

They say you should get kids use to water right away, so what better time then on a hot and humid day!! Gerry, Emma, Megan and Alyssa were in the pool, so I handed Connor over to Gerry to give it a whirl. Connor seemed abit hesitant at first, but as you can see in his nude swimming pic, he got quite comfortable with the whole idea lol.

Abby's Turn

Well now that we've got Erica in a big girl bed, we're going to try Abby. Figure take the same approach with Abby. We'll put her bed in her room and give her the option to sleep in her crib or her bed, that's what we did with Erica and it worked like a charm.

We ordered a new bedroom set Emma, as the twins got her bunkbed, we just took it apart for them and that leaves Emma without a bed lol...just kidding we would never do that to Emmsie. Emma's bed will be here Friday, but we've got her new double boxspring and mattress all ready to go. Her bed before was a single, so she should find this bed quite roomy.

So lots of shifting around here, i've sold Erica's crib and bedding on kijiji and will do the same for Abby's once I know she's comfortable in her bed. It's funny, we'll go from having 3 cribs in the house to 1. oh my babies are growing up.

Life in the Godin House

Connor's appt. went well, as of Monday he was 12lbs 3oz and 21.5 inches long. Hard to believe Emma was that length at birth...wonder if that means he'll be a shorter child??? hmmm guess time will tell right. Dr Owens was happy with his progress and Connor enjoyed all her attention.

Erica had bloodwork done today to make sure everything is still fine. I got Gerry to take her as I really don't like needles and knew she'd cry. I hate to see the kids cry, so I kept busy at home with the others.

I have to say things are going really smoothly around here. I'm so glad Gerry's been able to stay home until September 8th, it's made this transition go really well. It's nice to enjoy it, not just get through it:) and with the twins still being young I knew it would take some time to adjust and find a routine of some sort:) if I can call this a routine lol. I figure by the time Gerry goes back Connor will be able to entertain himself abit more and Abby and Erica are abit older. It's amazing how much they change every week, understanding and following directions more and more.

Emma's been really enjoying the summer, loving all the pool time in the backyard. I haven't heard "i'm bored" even once so far. Must say she's getting a really nice tan as well.

Our Campfire

Saturday we had our friends Christie and Chris over for a bbq and a campfire in the backyard, with our chimnea. It's hard to believe we've known them now for about 8 years!! Gosh we're getting old. Between us we have 7 kids...wowzer eh. All the kids really enjoyed roasting marshmallows and eating them of course. I haven't met a kid yet, that doesn't like roasted marshmallows. It was really nice to see them again and I even had a few bottles of Smirnoff, let me tell you, those went down really well:)

Here's some pics from the fire....

Gerry and I thought we'd see if the girls are ready for potty training. We bought them Dora underwear and brought their potties in the backyard (why let them pee in the house when they can pee on the grass instead...). Well i'm thinking we're going to try again in another month or two as they both peed in their underwear and kept playing. If I remember right, and I know it's been a long time, it's suppose to bother them when it runs down their legs. I'll do some internet reading to see signs of readiness, but I don't think their ready yet.

Here's pics from today's experience. I whited out their pee pee's.

Well I'm happy to say Erica hasn't had another seizure thank-god. I'm hoping it was just a one-time thing. Connor has been growing like a weed and Erica is whiny, not sure if she's just getting too use to being really babied or if she's not feeling well. It's so hard to say at this age. Abby has abit abit whiny too so it's been a few interesting days to say the least.
Here's some recent pics.

Connor's Bedding

Everyone that knows me, knows I change my mind, like I change my underwear lol. I originally had Winnie-The-Pooh for Connors bedding, but changed my mind of course. I think I was just so tired being pregnant with the twins, that the thought of doing another room was just too daunting. I had decided to stay with Abby's theme, since Connor's going to have her room, but since then I have thought i'd really like a real gender specific room. My sister went to the states and picked this bedding up for me. I'm really happy with it.
