Oh I hate being housebound in the winter, so back for another playdate at Bingemans Funworx and this time Emma and Alyssa came too!(Megan was at a birthday party). Wow are the weekends ever busy there:) considering how busy it was, it still went well. Think i'll stick to weekdays for now on though or bring Gerry or another adult on the weekends to help me out.

Abby Talking

Not much happened today, my big thing for the day was just going grocery shopping, gosh The Superstore is a neat place. Tonya had Megan and Alyssa's b-day party today, but I ended up sleeping while the girls were napping.

Today was a good day off work. Abby, Erica & I met Karen and her twin boys for a class at Gymboree and then went to Bingemans for some more playtime fun. The kids really enjoyed it and it was good to see Karen again (I hadn't seen her since the summer) and now the kids are all walking or should I say running around.

Poor Abby's been having a rough week with her teeth, she's constantly got both hands in her mouth, so I resorted to giving her soother back in the day. I figure that's alot cleaner then her touching everything and then having her germy hands in her mouth.

Abby & Erica's 18-month check up

Well the girls had their 18 month appts. this morning. They were overtired from missing their morning nap, so they cried during most of it:) Erica is still in the lead with weight and height, but her head is still abit smaller.
Here's their stats:

Abby 24lbs4oz Height-83cm Head-48cm
Erica 26lbs Height-85cm Head-46.5cm

Dr Owens didn't have any concerns and was really happy with how their progressing. I personally, was just happy to have their last set of needles done until Kindergarten.

Diaper Days

Gotta love those diaper days! I don't strip Erica down too often, as she can't seem to keep her hands out of her diaper. She's always scratching her butt:)

I'm 6 months pregnant!

I never post pics of myself, but thought what the heck! Here I am at 6 months pregnant. Abby is in the background sipping on her sippy cup.

I've been debating the whole stroller thing....do I get a triple, use a single and double?? should I get a travel system for the new baby?? as I need a carseat anyway seeing I sold Abby and Erica's thinking they were our last babies.

So Gerry and I dropped Emma off at a party in St.Jacobs and we thought we'd kill some time at Conestoga Mall and found this really neat, cheap stroller combo. Can you believe it was only $149.00 with the carseat!!! WoW, and it's lightweight, closes very easily and it's a travel system so the carseat snaps right on top.

I think between a single stroller, a double and a wagon for 2 we're pretty much set. If I want to take Connor out his seat will snap on the stroller so I don't have to transfer him to the stroller, if all of us are out Gerry can push the double (and really how long are these girls going to stay in the stroller, Abby already hates it, but for summer outtings it'll be good).

Note the colour as well, BLUE. I've had sooo much pink, yellow and girly colours in my life, that when I saw this avalable in red, yellow and blue, BLUE was a must lol

Bingemans Funworx

Tammy and I met up with the girls for a playdate at Funworx at Bingeman Park. The girls had a great time. Gerry's gone with the digital camera, but I still managed to get some shots on my cell phone, there not nearly as good, but hey better then nothing right. It was great to get out with them as their stuck inside alot in the winter, and the best part is their free until they turn 2!! What a bonus.

Abby and Erica and Naomi slid down the slides, played in the ball pit and did endless climbing on the apparatus. We'll definetely have to go back there again soon.

Well it's Thursday and i've survived so far! It's actually been a good quick week so far and i've even managed to fit in abit of shopping with Tonya yesterday. Bought Connor a really cute vest and winter hat at Gap yesterday. I'm not a big Gap shopper usually, but they had them on clearance and there adorable looking. At the rate i'm going, Connor will have his clothes set for the next 18 months. It's just so hard to pass up such great deals:)

Gerry should be leaving to come home tonight or early tomorrow morning. I'm sure the girls will be really excited to have Daddy home again. Abby has really picked up on her vocabulary. This week she has learned "apple, banana and chair" and she says them so clearly. Along with those she says Emma, momma, da-da, grandma (not so clear, but you know what it is). Erica on the other hand is too busy checking everything out to concentrate on words, she starts on the first syllable, but then gets caught up in what she's doing. She totally understands what I say to her though.

Well, back to work now.

I'm A Single Mom Again...

Well, i'm a single mom again....Gerry's left tonight to go with his Uncle Bob to New Brunswick for his uncle's funeral. Hopefully they drive carefully, I always worry about winter driving and Gerry isn't exactly know for his cautious driving....hopefully his Uncle Bob isn't the same lol. I know his uncle really appreciated him going and really he needs to take part in it. In the meantime, my week might be abit hectic and crazy, but hey i'll survive.

I've been feeling Connor kick alot the last few days. I don't remember the girls being so active and especially so early. I'm 23 weeks and sometimes his kicks really catch me off guard. Hopefully he's not going to be body slamming me down the road lol. I love feeling him move around though, it's just the most amazing feeling, knowing something live is growing inside of you. Gosh, do men ever miss out.

Well, I better get to bed, the last few days have been abit crazy, so I need to catch up and get a good nights sleep.

Playgroup Fun

Well I decided to take Friday off and take the girls out to a playgroup. Tammy and Amanda met up with us and the kids had a blast. Erica was hillarious, that kid just walks into a room like she owns the place, while Abby on the other hand sticks to me like glue. People probably wondered who the heck her mom was as she never looked for me to find any reassurance or to make sure I was still there.

Babies and Size Conception

It's funny how toddlers have no real concept of size! Abby and Erica keep trying to fit into things made for dolls or ride on things that are for decoration....it's quite funny to see. Connor Ken/Kenneth Godin

Well, we've decided on Connor for our baby boy's name. For those that know us well, you'll know there is special meaning behind the name. Gerry's father passed away when Gerry was just entering his teens and his dad's name was Conrad. I wish I liked the name Conrad, but since we don't really, we decided to spin a name off his and that's how we came up with Connor.

If Emma was a boy, she was going to be Connor, then when we had the twins, we thought if one is a boy, he'll be Connor, well we all know what happened there. Finally, a boy in the family and with that we'll name him Connor.

We haven't finalized the middle name quite yet. We plan on naming him after my dad, we just haven't totally decided if it'll be Ken or Kenneth, but it'll definetely be one or the other. Think this little guy will have a special place with Grandpa Godin up in heaven and Grandpa Rooke down here on Earth.

New Years Eve

Well I can't say I was awake to see 2008 come in, but we did have a good night anyway. We went to Doug and Gisela's for dinner and hung out with them and Rebecca. All the girls enjoyed themselves and Abby really took well to Doug, which I think really touched him. She was bringing everything to him and constantly putting her arms up for him to pick her up....too cute.
